Whining, begging, tantrums, meltdowns; I’ve never met a kid who didn’t have this going on. In fact, I have also, never met a parent who hasn’t lost it either!
There are many reasons why humans get cranky.
The top three are reasons for crankiness are:
- Hunger
- Uncomfortable
- Tired
These three basic reactions to life can lead to huge power struggles, tantrums and lack of peace and harmony at home. A simple solution to eliminating ‘hunger’ is to eat. And when we do eat, we stuff our faces with sugary foods and drinks which play havoc with our insulin levels and throw us into “tired and discomfort”.
Try feeding you and your kids 6 small low fat meals a day do not skip breakfast- it is the most important meal of the day, for you, too!

Thanks for advice. Many times I skipped my children’s breakfast because we do not have time for it. My children often get up late so we hurry them to school with no time for breakfast.
