Be a Helper Not a Doer

Sometimes when we want to help our kids succeed we get carried away and end up doing their work for them. It is important to be clear with your children that you’ve already been to school and now it’s their turn. When a child does something on their own with some help from you, they can feel really proud that they accomplished it. When you do it for them, they get to school and they have to present that project or take that test, they are not going to do well because they have not integrated or understood the assignment because you did it for them. Make sure that you are a helper, not a doer.
